Terms of Use — Zikr (Zikr)

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Zikr mobile application (“the App”) provided by Görkem Yıldırım (“we”, “the developer”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you accept these Terms.
1. Service Description
Zikr is a digital tasbih / dhikr counter application designed for Muslim users. The App includes:
- A counter screen (touch to increment, swipe to switch dhikrs)
- A customizable dhikr list
- Target and pause point settings
- Haptic and sound feedback
- Multi-language support (Turkish, English, Arabic)
- Free and Premium versions
2. Age Restriction and Authority
The App is rated 4+. Users under 13 should use the App only under the supervision of a parent/guardian. To make a Premium purchase you must be 18 years of age or have the consent of a legal guardian.
3. No Account
The App does not require an account for the Free version. The future Premium Cloud Backup feature uses Sign in with Apple; in that case Apple’s terms of service apply.
4. Free and Premium Version
4.1 Free Version
- Unlimited dhikrs
- Banner ads and occasional interstitial ads
- Classic theme, 3 text size levels
- Basic haptics and single sound
- No local data backup
4.2 Premium Version
- Ad-free experience
- 7 theme options
- Premium sound packs (coming soon)
- Daily analytics (heatmap, streak, per-dhikr breakdown)
- Daily auto-reset
- Future: cloud backup, widget
Premium is offered as a one-time lifetime purchase (not a subscription; no auto-renewal). Current pricing is shown on the in-app paywall.

Product ID: com.gorkemyildirim.zikr.lifetime (Apple StoreKit non-consumable).
4.3 Auto-Renewal
The Premium product is a one-time purchase. There is no auto-renewal, and no subscription needs to be cancelled. It is tied to your Apple ID and can be transferred to a new device via “Restore Purchases”.
4.4 Refunds
The purchase is processed through the Apple App Store. Refund requests must be made directly through Apple Support: https://support.apple.com/HT204084
The lifetime purchase may be refunded under Apple’s standard refund policy (typically within 14 days).
5. License
These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to:
- Install and use the App for personal, non-commercial use
- Edit your local data as you wish
The App is intellectual property of Görkem Yıldırım; it is licensed, not sold.
5.1 Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
- Copy, reproduce, modify, or create derivative works of the App
- Use ad blockers or purchase bypass tools
- Use the App for illegal or harmful purposes
- Create fake interactions with automated bots
Violation may result in immediate termination of access.
6. User Content
The dhikrs and texts you add belong to you. They are stored only on your device (unless Cloud Backup is active). It is your responsibility to:
- Ensure content is legal and appropriate
- Not infringe copyrights or others’ rights
- For religious texts, we recommend using official transliterations from the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Turkey (Diyanet) or equivalent authoritative sources
Görkem Yıldırım assumes no responsibility for user content.
7. Advertising
The Free version displays ads via Google AdMob. Ad content is managed by Google
and its advertising partners; their display is not an endorsement of any product
or service by us. Content filters (G — General) are enabled, but automated
systems may occasionally show inappropriate content. Please report any such cases
to gorkemyildirim@outlook.com.
8. Disclaimer
8.1 Religious Content
The App contains religious content (dhikr transliterations, meanings). In case of errors, we recommend consulting authoritative sources such as the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Turkey (Diyanet). Please report any errors.
8.2 “As Is” Provision
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. We make no express or implied warranties regarding:
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Suitability for a particular purpose
- Availability of third-party services (App Store, AdMob, Sentry)
8.3 Liability Limit
To the extent permitted by law, Görkem Yıldırım is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the App. Total liability is limited to the total purchase amount paid in the last 12 months.
9. Service Changes and Termination
Görkem Yıldırım reserves the right, without notice, to:
- Change, suspend, or terminate the App or specific features
- Update these Terms
Significant changes will be announced through in-app notification. Lifetime purchase holders may file a refund request via Apple’s standard refund policy if the service is fully terminated.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Disputes are under the jurisdiction of Istanbul Courts and Enforcement Offices. For consumer transactions, the provisions of Turkish Consumer Protection Law (No. 6502) apply; the user may also apply to local consumer arbitration committees.
EU/EEA users may use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
11. Severability
If any provision of these Terms becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
